I have a 2006 dodge charger sxt. 3.5L V6
I bought some silver zinc plated rotors with ceramic pads.. http://www.e%2A%2A%2A.ca/itm/310433319804?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&%5Ftrksid=p3984.m1423.l2648#ht%5F9495wt%5F1186
My problem is that they squeak when i brake, I'm wondering if its the pads or rotor quality or both. im 95% sure i installed them correctly so i don't think its from being installed incorrectly.

and second.
I want a cold air intake. i was wondering what is the best quality for its price when it comes to brand names and what is the best kind to get.

If anyone can help, it would be much appreciated.

the breaks squeaking can be a hand full of things. could be that the pads arent sitting properly on the rotors, which can cause a noise to occur, also, higher quality break pads squeak because they contain more carbon in them.

or, it could be a seasonal thing. my breaks on my brand new 2013 mustang gt squeak, and at first i was like wtf why are they squeaking, called up ford and they said that better break pads squeak when theyre cold, because the dont soften up as opposed to other break pads.

as for a cai, it depends, mostly theyre all the same, just do research, browse some charger forums and compare prices.

As far as the CAI, its more than likely not worth the price unless you can get a GREAT deal on one.

Nah man, nothing to worry about. Its just because they're brand new. They do make some anti-squeak compound, which I really love for two reasons: 1. They don't squeak any more, and 2. It seems to catch all the brake dust and collect it into little crumbs that fall off, instead of getting all over your wheels. Keeps them looking clean longer :)

Anyone else ever use that stuff?

These... imo they're a waste of time. The slight advantage you get is a little bit of money saved in the long run... and I mean really long run here... in that you can clean the filter instead of replacing it.
Paying 200~ dollars for the entire kit really defeats the purpose on that one.
I'd say just replace your air cleaner with the K&N version of the factory one. You will absolutely never see a noticeable gain in performance. Ever. I don't care how much BS they put on the box, it is all lies.
That said, its your dough. I don't much care for the looks of the K&N kits.... The other guys could probably point you in the direction of a nice looking one. Might even find a bargain!

WOW.... Overkill?

I got an 06 dodge charger with 36K on it, snow tires that cost 1000$, a block heater that costs 400$ and no accidents for 6500$... was a good deal so i took it.
