I finally got my new alternator installed...
It went out on the 1st and I ordered a 200 amp one to replace my 130 amp.
It finally arrived today and my car is back in action.
Having an alternator die on you sucks. I had to leave my car in a Lowes parking lot overnight then drive it home off the battery after charging it up.

On a similar note, I drove our Miata for a few of the days I was without my car and I expected it to make my mustang feel huge but it wasnt really that different.
The Miata handles amazingly though, it was fun to drive for a few days. Its a bit weird sitting a couple inches off of the ground, but aside from that I was pretty impressed how well the car drove. Smooth transmission, good handling (although quite a bumpy ride), etc.
Super fun car, just no power. Now Ive got the power back, but less handling.
I really want to build a LS Miata now!

You mentioned mustang so I figured it was my duty to post this image:

Joking aside, why the 200 amp? Are you running a lot of audio equipment or something?

How do you like the shifter?

I have a frequent customer who comes in with his first gen miata. Every time I drive it, I am always wondering why the shifter is so short. Is the one on your car like 4 inches MAX tall too? And yeah, LS swap in a Miata would be drool worthy.
