I just got quoted $2406.00 to ship a forester from japan to new west minister..... not sure if serious. Any of you or someone you know bought anything from japan recently. Last car I ship was about $1300.00 from japan to new west. Not sure if prices went up or I'm getting fucked by this new company I am dealing with.

it may be that is the price of the car + shipping then i could understand that amount but if thats just shipping id find a new company because ive know people that have used them before and yes prices have gone up a little but not that much

Its a matter of opportunity cost for the company. You gotta think, by accepting to ship your car thats like 3 zebras they can no longer ship.

It all comes down to timing and shipping volume, they may not be in high demand season at this point and it might be more costly to ship smaller volume.

Good choice on the car as well, my company does car deliveries for Livingston Freight and we do tons of JDM stuff. Skylines/Supras/RX-7s/etc. are typically in rough condition.
Whereas a lot of the Subarus are pretty decent, my Legacy GT was near mint.
