i can replace all the issues and im considering about offering him 1k if he takes the stereo. but the yearly jci( emissions safety equivalent) is about $600+ for this car. it needs new tires also seen the car in person. it has a dumb supra spoiler equivalent and altezza's. the tires stick out about 2 inches from the fender/quarterpanels.
basically feel like rescuing this poor thing. dont know about lt1's or this year of camaro.
1993 CAMARO 5.7L V8 LT1 (Z28) AUTO
JCI DUE 31 JAN 2013
UPDATE: Starter finally failed, price reflects this. I would get it fixed myself but I don't have time. Typhoon motors won't do it, as they don't work on "foreign" vehicles. I have two different places that will change it or rebuild it, but I won't be able to get to it. (Work, class, PCS, etc.)
Runs well, needs starter to actually run now.
Known issues:
-Drivers window motor bad
-Small exhaust leak due to corroded spot. easily accessible for welding
-Starter will need to be replaced sooner than later. still starts every time though!
-Radiator fans don't come on on their own, manual fan switch installed
-Slight misfire, most noticeable when cold
-Stock rims, and they'll need tires to pass JCI, but work fine for now (UPDATE TO THIS: I have 4 decent tires that are JCI worthy I'll be putting on next weekend.)
Good:
-No rust
-Intake
-Dual JL Audio 10" subs in a custom enclosure + 1000w amp and other stereo goodies
-New fuel pump
-New Plugs
-New Wires
-New Coil pack
Well worth $2500. I have receipts for $1500 in work, and when you price the radio goods it easily totals $1000. Test drives available mostly anytime, just shoot a text or email and we can set it up.
