I'd rather race then hop around if I'm on a bike.
I mean it looks like fun, but the novelty would wear off quick for me I think.

i see people do this stuff on bicycles all the time, but they actually have to pedal, seems easier with a motor attached, but i could be wrong.

its good balance and stuff but at the end of the day you are barely better than a random bmx kid.

lap races=the hard stuff.

all it takes is a little too much twist of the throttle and over you go. also why dont you try riding a wheelie up hill, stopping, and then backing down the hill while still holding the wheelie and stopping and taking off again. a bicycle would be much easier

also as far as getting boring its just like going through mud holes or hill climbing you go out in the woods and find things to freestyle around on. when you hill climb you dont ride along to the next random set of tracks going up a hill you look around for other places that nobody else has tried and see what you can do.

These guys are just goofing off. It's still incredibly hard, and the competitions are much harder. I rode trials for 4 or 5 years with my Uncle. I don't like putting my identity out on the internet, especially this site, but I met Pat for the first time when he was just getting into the Pro ranks. I know a lot of the US Pro guys.

To everyone that doesn't know what trials is, it is beyond a shadow of a doubt the hardest thing you can do on a motorcycle. Hands down, no contest. I've watched fast A class motocross riders and Enduro riders try it and get beat by 12 year old kids. The skill set you need is ridiculous. Body control, throttle control... It's all over the top.

My first new bike was a Montessa Cota 4RT. It was 2005, my uncle was given the second one to come into the US and after he rode it for the first season he gave it to me. Before that I rode a GAS GAS 280. I loved the 4 stroke. I'm nowhere near pro level though. I rode Sportsman A and advanced a few times.

No I don't know Shaun. I have had very little to do with trials since 2008.

The US has the same issues with trials that we have with soccer. Our best athletes go into sports that are more mainstream in our country. So few people in the US even know about trials most of our best talent ends up in Motocross/Supercross and Enduro riding. I've ment Dougie Lampkin, Adam Raga, and Toni Bou at the US FIM world event at the Trials Training Center in Tennessee. I would say I met Fuji but the language barrier provided little more than a handshake lol.
