so i recently installed 2 amps in, iv had them running for about a month now, my car maybe sat for a week, i went to start it and the battery was dead, so i jumped it and it worked for 2 days, this morning i go and try to start it and it is dead again? are my amp draining the battery or is my battery just **** and i need a new one

very annoying problem i got here.. lmk if anyone has anything to help me trouble shoot this

How long has it been since you've changed the battery?

If it's a cheaper battery, and it's been about five years, you're about due.

how much rms you have running through the amps?

after 1k rms you almost always need a electrical system upgrade otherwise you'll ruin your alternator.

Unhook the amps and see if the problem continues, if it does then get a new battery if not then rewire your shit right

1 amp is 1200watts the other is 4x90

going to need to do an electrical system upgrade.

you need an alternator with at least 125 amps to keep up with your power usage.

you'll also need a deep cycle dry cell battery like an optima yellow top.

chances are the battery has the only real damage to it currently. start with a battery and see what happens. i have no idea what your stock alternator is putting out. what car?

why would it work fine for a month? then all of a sudden when my car sat for a week without being used it stopped working
