should one bring ECU settings to stock before bringing their vehicle to a mechanic?
what if it allows for launch control and no-lift shift?

I'd only worry about it if there's a warranty involved. Factory or aftermarket. The presence of a tune/mods to the software can void your warranty.

Don't be deleting a diesel and bringing it to a dealers shop, bring it to a Chad that knows your struggle. ^^^

Chad doesn't work on Audi. i have his cousin chip, but he wants to do this at leisure and i'd rather not my car be MIA for a month.

pretty sure that warranty is void as soon as its tuned.
even if a stock map is loaded, there are ways to see if it has been tampered before
