1jz gte engine standalone ecu (MAXXECU from sweden)

car runs perfect, but when it stalls because of poor clutch work (actually its because it has a twinplate ORC clutch which is super easy to stall), the engine wouldn't crank at all which leads to car not starting, after waiting for about 3~5minutes and you try again the engine will crank very very weakly and slowly but car will start.

can someone please help me and point out what may be bad? my best guess is a weak battery or maybe alternator?

-battery is barely 2 years old, but it was left unused for about a year at one point (car was getting rebuilt into 1jz gte with standalone ecu), (dry battery no maintenance)
-car starts fine and quick if its first start of the day even if i don't drive it for 2~3weeks (so this kinda conflicts with a bad battery?...)

test your battery voltage dawg. if the car sits for a while with the battery connected it can have parasitic draw.

car will start even if i dont drive it for a few weeks, only not when it stalls while car is very hot, so it shouldnt be the battery? once the car cools down 3~5min it starts no problem

someone else said its probably the starter, it cold starts well, and once it overheats it doesn't start till it cools down a bit.. sounds quite plausible to me... thoughts?

Hard to say. Easiest thing to start with is battery. it's free to check your battery at most auto parts stores. starter would be my next thought, or something with the ECM or CAN BUS

No crank at all and then waiting for it to crank slowly doesn't really sound like a battery issue. If the battery checks out I'd look at the starter. Possible it gets heat soaked and won't spin when hot. Could also be clutch safety switch or ignition switch possibly? One of those things that's hard to diag over the internet unfortunately.

Also, check your grounds just for giggles. Never a bad idea to clean them up if needed.

Bad starters and bad battery cables to the starter can cause issues such as this. Voltage drop the battery cables. It's a solid start and a relatively easy test.

hello friend, do you have a theory of why the battery cable will cause the car to not start when it stalls while its hot? why do you think the battery cables is a possible point of failure?
btw the battery has been moved to the trunk, and has brand new cables
