Our finances are completely separate except for things we share. On that stuff we pay a proportional amount based on income. My wife makes about 2/3rd what I do so that goes a long way. If it weren't for the whole dual income no kids thing I wouldn't be able to do what I do.
The parts I'm picking up are coming out of a ZR1 with 8,000 miles on it
we have one personal checking account. What's hers is hers and what's mine is hers. I just need to spend it faster than she does. The later is the hard part...
In all honesty, it works out fine. I take care of everything financially businesses and home. However, she has access to all of the accounts and she can tell what my "play fund" is. I get a little carried away here and there and get my night on the couch but it's not too bad. It's a nice couch
