Not easy to work on, not sure where you got that idea... I feared old VWs and Audis when I worked at an independent shop..
Rated low by every major car enthusiast guide..
The only person who enjoys a drive in that piece of shit is a person who's never actually rode in a real car.. I used to think an mx6 cornered well, than I caught a ride in a lotus elise... Go take a ride in a real car, and you'll understand...
These aren't personal attacks, these are facts.. and I've sat by idle watching this shit show, but it's getting fucking old lol.
Honestly older vws and audis are quite easy to work on if you have to tools and know all the tricks to the harder jobs (easily googled)
But that all falls on the knowledge of the car and what you're used to working on. Where as I've worked on them for over 14 years it's simple to me, but working on American cars or most other brands isn't so much. So to generalize they are "not easy" may be because it's not something you're used to and turns into an opinion rather than a fact.
Now for that guy to say the TT is light... Thats laughable because it's the same weight as a beetle... which is heavier than a golf and jetta. Now for the price and the power numbers, I wouldn't say fast but it has some decent get up for something that gets almost 30mpg.. Fun to drive? Yes... Fast? Meh... not so much, but it wasn't built as a race car. On that note to compare it to something LS is laughable as well because that's comparing 2 cars way out of each others class... take that LS and dumb it down to get 30mpg or more and then race them, but who the fuck would do that dumb shit? Lol
To each his own, even though this pissing contest has been a good read lol.
