You kinda just proved my point...
The ZL1 is already higher priced than many vettes so making a faster Camaro isnt going to do much to vette sales as they are still a different market in many ways.
And by your same logic (changing the blower) I could bring up Shelby's 850HP Supersnake...
I know how you feel. Im in a no emissions county now which makes it worse, but I got no money for mods unless I skip buying another vehicle...
Its a delicate balance. They did the ZL1 because they needed an answer to the GT500. A really powerful muscle car. They don't want the corvette to compete with the GT500. However, they put the ZL1 in the price range of a Z51 C6 and it is faster. There was no way in hell they would make it faster than a grandsport or Z06. Its complicated and you have to think of it from many different angles.
That is what keeps their models balanced and it goes back to the 60's.
There is nothing stopping Ford from doing whatever they want. No model above the 500. There are two obvious reasons why they don't do what you suggested. 1, the power borders on unusable as it is now and the car will destroy most driver's confidence. 2, they have to leave room for future growth.
So again, things are like they are not because a manufacturer can't do better, but because they choose not too.

no, because people think theyre buying the better of the 2 cars, when theyre not..
You think most people buy the best vehicle based on stats? Many enthusiasts do. Many more are brand loyal. Then the lemmings buy whichever one they like for a myriad of reasons. Mostly looks.
