Its being a full sized truck or not doesn't change anything. Its still limited at 96-97.

do you mean the computer shuts down at 96 mph? or do you mean tops out @ cause i'm sure a v8 to a v6 there is a difference pal

thats from the factory. you can use a computer reprogrammer and erase the speed limiter. a friend of mine in hs had a 1999 new body z71 that they removed the limiter and went almost 130. i dont know as i would want to go that fast in a z71 4 door truck though lol. it was prob almost shaking apart at that speed.

Yes, but its easy to assume that his friend didn't do that, as in most cases doing that on a truck is useless.

ok so thats why jegs and summit both offer this tool? because its so useless and nobody does it? more people do this then you think.

Maybe they offer it because some people like fast trucks? Its not common at all, most trucks are not meant to go that fast at all.
