I was expecting this kind of question/comment from a d2 site.

Well we aren't a make/model specific forum.. so it's not like we all are gonna like w/e car comes along.

I don't mind them, but just giving you/ ride686 a hard time cause he wants one over anything else lol

lol

I'd actually prefer an sr 240 over it if I could find a clean one. It all depends on what I find first, I'll have one or the other by the end of the summer. Actually I saw an old friend of mine today who just swapped an sr into his e30 bmw, its fucking sick haha

It all depends on what you want to do. AWD for track/rally vs RWD for drift. Im a fan of time attack and plan to take my car in that direction. I love the GC8 chassis due to the AWD and its light weight expecially with the potential of using newer technology of the new STi engines and the 6 speed trans either JDM or USDM EJ207 or the EJ257, its a fuckin amazing track car. 300 Hp to the flywheel + 2700 lbs wet + AWD = amazing. Just my observation and opinion.

the 2.5 rs is slow as fuck though and the engine is a pos haha. You need to do a swap if you want to get anywhere and that doesn't come cheap. The potential is there, but its alot further off than your making it sound.

^ this.

2.5rs' are slow as hell. Far from the type of car the sti is. and if you're even thinking about doing an engine swap, you're better off finding a totaled sti that you can take the full engine and tranny off of. so the 5speed tranny you get in a stock rs is basically nothing, unless you wanna do a half ass job because you can't afford a full swap.

Yeah EJ251 pumpin 130 awhp, woo! Word, ridin low n slow until I graduate college (1 year) and can realistically afford the swap. Im lovin the 30 mpg with low reliable miles, no car payments and cheap insurance. It still kills wrx's with stock string/strut in caynons/ track though.
