I got my '02 Z06 in 2006 or 2007. 13k miles, perfect condition. It never saw the inside of a garage unless I was working on it. I sold the car in 2010, with 56k miles and the paint and interior looked just as perfect as it did the day I purchased the car. I gave it a light wash once a week or so to keep build up off of it, and a solid detail every few months. I see no issue in it.

In the winter time we would get heavy snow, so I had one of those soft felt car specific covers I would put over it, then go down to harbor freight and pick up one of those big ass blue weather proof rectangle tarps. Secure it tight with bungee cords under the car. The felt kept the harsh plastic off the surface. Make sure when you're putting the felt one on that you don't move it too much, no sliding around. Get 4 people so you can set it and forget it. Once the bungees are on nice and tight, it's secure. Never had an issue with it. Come spring time clear coat was just fine, little linty, but nothing a good wash wont fix.

Some of the boys on this forum were telling me that it will scratch the paint

I might do Cquartz finest or xpel (if my wrapper can wrap in a way that there are no visible edges anywhere)

Xpel can be put on in such a way that you have to know it is there to see it. That is subject to the installer of course.

An outdoor cover is a pain if you drive the car more than once a week. When it comes time to put it up for winter, store it properly.

Yea, this Vette will be a daily driver. Only time I don't plan to drive it is when I need the 4matic of the benz (which usually if snow is the case, I probably won't go outside at all).

These cares aren't wrx's after all

if you get a cheap one, yes it may damage your paint -- but there are covers with an inner layer of fleece lining, which protects the paint and finish
