helllll naw
how do u drive in that
there was freezing rain here in nc last night
i went out in it to go to the gym
thought i was gonna wreck going 20mph, looks like youre doing 45 and no sliding
There was a little purposeful sliding. You see me have to countersteer a couple times.
Awareness is key.
Be aware of your traction. Be aware of your road level/grade. Be aware of your surroundings. Be aware of any other drivers on the road. Smooth is fast.
Other than that, being calm and confident is key. I was in 2WD in the video. I don't throw it in four wheel unless it's hairy.
I also really prefer manual transmissions in winter. Being able to slow yourself, without risk of locking the brakes, is really really nice. It doesn't help that my ABS freaks out because my TPMS sensor for one of the tires is off. ABS will lock up extremely easily.
That's why you see me CREEEEEEEEP to the bottom of the hill.
Planned downshifts for the win.
Snow driving is the most fun you can have on a public road. Period. It's the only time, with modern tires, that you'll get to experience loss of traction without becoming a sociopath. I love winter.
