Don't waste 15k on a car that's only in your price range with a ton of.miles on it. This is the case with half the cars you mentioned OP That's a terrible idea and you're going to regret it.

Do you really think the majority of car owners, enthusiasts or not, shop around for maintenance?

They don't.

Yes, some do, but most don't. Stop arguing with facts. Even jobs under the hood are generally more complicated due to design.

Again, stop making it circumstantial.

Im not making it circumstantial at all, I'm just being blunt about it. Have you even popped the hood on a new domestic car? They are just as much of a cluster fuck as any foreign lol. And while the late models are simple, so are the late model foreigns... if you let a shop overcharge you for service that is no one's fault but the cars owner, and should have zero reflection on what it cost for upkeep.

No need to make it sound like I'm putting you down for the opinion of foreign being more expensive, I'm just pointing out most repairs can be the same cost unless you let yourself get taken advantage of. That's all man lol

Yes but what you're saying isn't what the majority of the population does. If that was the case, dealerships wouldn't get any business.

So, you're being circumstantial.
