Ok so this car has a 10+ year show history, and has a long story to how it's now in my hands. But lets just say im bringing it back for a great friend that is no longer with us.
Only stating that fact because i never lay claim to work i haven't done (ie the hatch/tailights, shaved bay, wiring.) But I was around helping him do the motor goodies and such.
Car - 92 VW Golf GTI 8v, original Montana green
Performance mods - 2.0 ABA swap, JE pistons, turbonectics t3/t4 .50 AR, custom flow match tube exhaust manifold, 3" downpipe/exhaust, FMI with custom piping, ported heads with slightly oversized values, SDS Engine Management System, MSD distributorless ignition, 10mm wires, Deatschwerks 550cc Injectors, Walbro high pressure pump, Spec stage 4 clutch with 2600 psi pressure plate, corrado Trans case with Tdi 4th, 5th, final drive gears and a Peloquin LSD, Level 3 500+ hp axles, MK3 knuckles, breaks, and control arms/rear beam, urethane bushings, eibach full swaybar kit front and back, bilstein pss9 coils, vr6 top cup mounts all around, power steering/ac/heat/etc all deleted, manual power steering rack.
Cosmetics - 16x9 Kerscher Carmona's (very rare wheels), Full custom hatch welded in from a old caddy pickup tailgate, Cut and shaved taillight (all turns, break, lights functional), shaved moldings, shaved doorhandles (i will be changing that, not a fan lol), shaved genbay, single round headlights, corrado g60 front flares, badgeless grill, some other little things people don't notice lol
really needs some body work from damage over time.. but thats my plans this winter. that and cleaning the engine and having things powder coated. Got a list of things to give it my take on a GTi
