I've driven an RS5 I know what they are lol. My fiancée has an S5. But an R8 has more appeal then an RS5. Different price ranges, but there's more people looking for a high end sports car than a performance sport coupe. Audi sells a lot of A5/S5s but not many can justify the price of a RS5, not to mention the maintenance/insurance. Cheaper car but doesn't mean the market is bigger. It's tough to find numbers for the amount of RS5's sold but I'd imagine they sell about 500 a year in North America. Audi sells about 1000 R8s a year in North America.
