So after much stipulation I found a 2013 Honda Civic Ex (got a sunroof and other shit lol) for $19,680 door price.

parents saw that the car was at a good price and good on gas (they said i could do whatever to the engine when i get money lol)

E/ also i didn't want to be a spoiled kid with a new $30,000 car and take things for granted. My friend for his 15th birthday got a trailblazer (destroyed axles cause crashed into an IHOP), then a Jaguar XF 3.0 and just sold it for a 5.0 mustang.

Shoulda paid 5 grand more and got one of these.

I need help, parents are getting me a new car and I'm honestly clueless.

They want to pay no more than $25,000 (give and take some)

I want an American car, but we usually drive foreign cars.

I want the best bang for my buck (overall rating)

I'm also looking at more sporty cars, not 4 door sedans.

Options and explanation? :o

This.

You ended up getting a non sporty sedan. Not even the SI trim, you got the EX...

/e Looks like people still post looking for help then ignore everyone's advice.

I think you made a great choice just do yourself a favor and DO NOT MODIFY THE ENGINE

Yup.

If OP would have just said "They want me to get a reliable, economic car that gets great gas mileage, I would have instantly said Civic.

I'd say listen to Killer and DO NOT TOUCH THE ENGINE, especially because its a K that's not worth doing anything to.

To be fair a lot of the advice given was pretty terrible. I kinda figured this would happen from the start anyways. But yes, do not modify anything to do with it lol.

Man if I was getting a car like this I would definitely choose the new camry so much nicer than the newer civics
