They obviously are.  The 80k zl1 blows the base c6 out of the water, but its still a camaro.  Corvette owners are repeat buyers.  The Z06 is right there with the ZL1 price wise.  Shocker, they used the lsa instead of the LS9. You kinda just proved my point...
The ZL1 is already higher priced than many vettes so making a faster Camaro isnt going to do much to vette sales as they are still a different market in many ways.
And by your same logic (changing the blower) I could bring up Shelby's 850HP Supersnake...

no, because people think theyre buying the better of the 2 cars, when theyre not..

and before you bring up "but herp!, its better on the track, derp!"

95% of the people who buy these cars, buy them for the streets only, not to be tracked. and between the 2 for strictly street purposes, the mustang is the better car.
