Although I am canadian, I have to agree with this. Our military sits around with their thumbs up their asses. We just spent 2.7 MILLION dollars with our military to rescue rich tourists from a massive ice flow in which no one was even in danger...

Please tell me more about how great we are.

NORAD if you know what that even is without googling.

aside from all this military crap, I personally think Canada is more peaceful to just grow up in, overall.

However, the united states has more of an opportunity to "live the dream"

All in all, each country has ups and downs. I love Canada, but our military is no match for the states, in training, resources or usefulness.

I agree we were there, but our presence wasn't needed, nor did it have a big impact.

Still doesn't negate the fact that we just blew 2.7 million on nothing, because we apparently had nothing better to do.

The tourists even waved the helicopters away at first...

That is politicians decisions, I don't agree with that either but nobody else was going to help them.

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

oh god, please, please stop with the jokes, youre killing me.

every major conflict? sending 14 people doesn't count. if any country was to invade canada, and the us didnt interfere, canada would be gone. but thatll never happen because everyone knows if anyone fucked with canada, the us would destroy them. so youre welcome for keeping your country safe.

So you just described NATO? Congratulations.
That goes for nearly ever major country you dumb fuck.
And apparently you can't read or count.

Coming from a civilian who took no part in any of it, sure it might look that way.
You obviously don't know what we did.

Our training methods are better, and more effective. In terms of #'s and resources, no obviously we don't compare.

I never said that.
All you can come up with is maple syrup jokes and trying to describe things you don't know anything about.
