anything with low hp, a low center of gravity and a short wheel base with have "good handling". the whole point is the way the car is set up, its and artificial feel of performance. when you actually add some more hp to the car you will see how much it sucks as a platform. then to actually get it "working" again after the hp gain, your going to need to dump a lot of money into it (suspension, tires, transmission, clutch, ect.) the reason why the released it with only 200 hp, is because if they put even 300hp into it, i would have cost you atleast 10-15k more, and at the price point they are competing with camaro ss, challengers r/t, slightly used corvettes, mustang gts, 370z, bmw 300 series and more. also it would be in the same price point as their STi, and not many people are going to buy that car over those cars. The brz/frs is a popular because it is a cheap car that has a "fun" factor that would have a hard time winning a race vs a civic.
