you dont know if it was reported or not. and last i checked those reports are detailed enough to see whether the back end wash pushed into the trunk or if it needed a few hundred worth of paint on the bumper.... not to mention depending on how the guy drives, how long he owns it, maintenance etc the resell value and whether the title is clean probably aren't going to matter much. He'll probably bring it to some dealership and trade it in for his next car.

whether the accident was reported or not, someone who has bought a new jag can afford to fix it, and is going to get it fixed, even if it's just a "couple scratches". the bumper repaint will show up on the title. a bumper repaint that early in the vehicles history will show that the car was in an accident and wasn't reported.
until the car is scrapped or written off no matter how perfect or immaculate it is kept from that point on, the equal jaguar that doesn't have the blemish on the title is worth more than his.
