You don't understand the truck thing at all. It's a tool that has a purpose but it doesn't have to be used solely for that purpose. Buying and maintaining 2 vehicles is more wasteful for most people so if they need a truck they DD one. If they need to go buy a load of firewood, they can. It means they aren't being used at that particular moment. People that are against owning a truck are usually people that call a professional to do everything for them from my experience. I don't know if you fit into that category or not. Everyone I know of that drives a truck has hauled something they couldn't have otherwise hauled within the last year. If I want a load of mulch for my yard I can pick it up and do it myself.

By your logic the tools in my toolbox are useless because nothing I own is broken at the moment. You have taken what your eyes show you and failed to think it through the next 2 or 3 steps.
