Tinfoil hat...

The EPA test is a standardized test. You are claiming it gets the same mileage as a dart.

Guys we should all sell our DD's and buy challengers i hear they get great mileage.

im claiming nothing other then depending on how you drive the vehicle you can get way less or a way more then the stated mpg. With a hp map, or mpg map it can vary even more.

i think the real sad part here is the fact he is all "MOPAR OR NO CAR" yet claims they are so shitty at their jobs that a handheld tuner>all their years of designing and engineering it.

You realize that if any manufacturer tuned their cars specifically for max power, they would sell a hell of a lot less cuz the mpg would be axed. Instead they get the most power that they can while still maintaining a decent mpg rating. No stock map in any car is optimized for one thing or another. There is give and take in the power/mpg field.

exactly..its set to the BEST choice for what they designed the car to do.

you can go to one extreme or the other but at the end of the day you would of been much much better off just getting a car factory built for the purpose rather than putting a single second of effort trying to get that 375hp boat anywhere near good MPG numbers.

if you want mpg..get an econobox

if you want power...get a car that already has it

if you want to tinker with power and mpg....don't buy a fat car with almost 400hp because it's a bad platform for it

or get a tuner for an mpg map for long distance driving / cross country stuff, and a power map for the back roads and for the the track near home.

i do a lot of both so for me it makes sense. For most of you city kids that rarely see a 55mph zone, no, it wouldnt be viable

You don't understand the first thing about tuning and these last few posts show it. There is very little you can do from a tuning standpoint to get better fuel mileage than the stock tune on a car that has not been extensively modified. If you understand O2 sensors and stoich it is self explanatory. I've tuned a couple cars now. I don't mean plugging in a shitbox handheld tuner either. I understand how all of the tables work. The shit spewing put of your mouth is false.

you cant buy a tuner like he has though. its a special aeronautics tuner that lets you get 32mpg and 600hp all on 87 pump gas.
