Imba dem I suppose since I side with them more often than not , you will never hear me talk about minorities or race because your life is what you make of it technically I'm poor since I don't make over 45k a year and we have a family of five . But don't get me wrong I work my sack off every chance I get . So when you hear about people needing s hand sometimes think of guys like me. And not just bums living off the gov.

If you don't talk about "whities" and "The Man" you aren't anything like the people I'm talking about. I work in Augusta, GA where over 60% of the population is on welfare. 60%. Of those 60% probably half truly need it and the other half are too lazy to TRY to help themselves. They are being given Obama phones and cable TV, more groceries than they can eat, and free rent. Why would they try? Those are the ones I'm talking about. The young women that get pregnant on purpose so they can live off of the system for 2 decades...wow. These people are not all minorities. Not even close. So don't mix up the two statements. They were meant to be separate.

My dad is on Social Security disability and my Mom gets some government assistance to help take care of my little brother and sister. I understand the situations where people need help from first hand experience. I can't stand people that are capable but won't help themselves. We are a capitalist society that is actively moving towards socialism. That bothers me because I feel like we aren't being asked if that is what we want.

You hit the nail on the head there.... Being in collections for 5 years at this point I have pretty much seen it all. Its rather disgusting to be honest. So many of these people have no desire to EVER make it anywhere in life let alone provide for themselves and family.

We allow it to happen though is whats worse. Its so easy for these people to just leech of everyone else why would they ever want to change...

also, if your getting government assistance of any kind, you should be drug tested regularly

Georgia enacted a cop out version to keep from pissing off their constituents. Anyone that was on welfare before the law went into effect is grandfathered in and wont be tested! The new applicants are tested upon application and then only have the threat of a random after that.

I grew up in Henry County, GA which has declined a good bit over the years. I just moved up to North Georgia a few months ago and its so much nicer. There is still a good bit of low income and government assistance stuff up here bit it just seems better. Maybe I'm just biasing because Rabun is 94.88% white, lol. After living in midtown Atlanta for a few years its a refreshing change. People seem nicer in general.

I broke down in ackworth Georgia coming back from Florida on spring bream once. People were really nice. Some lady offered to let me stay in her house lol . Local girls took us out on their tab bar napping . It was great lol
