i already got the front tires changed, went from 235/75 r15 to 205/75 r15, no more rubbing
35$each for 10/32 used truck tires
the same shop is gonna weld my axle to the leaf pads tomorrow, but unluckily for me coming back from his shop the axle shifted upwards and banged into the floor as i left from a stop sign, i hope he can eyeball just the right angle before welding it in
(shifted into reverse and slammed the brakes before flooring the gas to shift it back downwards)
i tried calling but its closed, il call tomorrow to make sure i cans till get it welded.
my right side calliper is rubbing on the rim so il have to grind it a bit.

here is a pic from inside the apartment window... the dash is also all back together but my phone is dead right now so no pics

lower control arms are extremely close to the ground, within 3'' and the air spring valve is even lower, at leas i know its always higher then the wheels so no danger wat so ever over speedbumps
i was thining of putting some sort of front valance from maybe a suburban or some other large squarish truck to protect my front end components, and it would look dope

I know you're working on the suspension and all.... but what about that grille? That thing needs to get gone! Brushed aluminum would look very nice ;) Could even try vertical bars for that cow catcher look.

just got the van back from the suspension shop, they welded my axle. so now it is mechanically drivable.
i have a burnt tail light on passenger side, was my first time looking at those, they are the push in/twist type if anyone has dealt with those before lol. And unfortunately for me the tail light itselft is all cracked cuz my friend installed the spare in the wrong position, so when i opened my door i literally crushed my tail light with my tire... major fail. I was not the first to do so as it was all plastered with silicone on the inside from previous fails with spare tire lol.
cleaned the floor, it as really dirty after a whole winter of storing/working on it. gave the dash some love with a damp cloth and now i need to take my bed sheets out if i wanna sleep in it this weekend.
going to the shake down(snowboard competition) and getting wasted on location and sleeping over ofc.

ofc the suspension was the main concern but it is mostly completed now and drivable, still some tuning to do tough: passenger side sits lower cuz the driver side has a new main leaf and the rear is to low so modifying the shackles could help me get off the bump stops.
i took a look at the grill and all the black part is plastic or some sort of fiber, so i would have to source a metal one and work around that. But i find it sexy as is, i have not seen any other van with the same. everyone else has the shiny chrome front grill that looks made out of plastic or more modern gmc front end so mine is kinda unique.

lol where is that from? im wondering wat it says ''by day''

anyways, i changed my burnt tail light bulb and hot glued the lens back together, it had previously been siliconed together but i added some glue over every crack to give it some extra water resistance
here is the outside

the inside looks like this, most of wat you see is the old silicone, the glue is pretty much see through

ok so the first weekend out was a success, we rode 3 guys in the van up to the snowboard competition, met up at a hotel with the other people.
A guy i used to go to high school with won the 20 000$ grand prize, then the only club in the area was closed so we went back at the hotel and realized everyone that was at the competition was on the same floor, so we had a super party, was crazy.
to keep this on topic when i my way to go sleep in the van, some other free spirited people where having pretty intense sex in a mazda 3 with the inside cab light on and windows open, my buddy went and talked with them, gave a props to the guy and let them finish up. On my side i did not get a girl in the van, they pretty much all had powder up their noses, not my cup of tea... my budy slept on the floor of the van, i was solo in the bed third guy had pitched in for a room, turned my heater on for 15 minutes was very warm.

so my rear speakers started going out on me for the second time, i wont even bother trying to trade them this time. My cheap pioneers i got in the front have lower rms rating and they rape my soundsstream speaker i got in the back so i think il try to go for some pioneers in the rear.
in the meanwhile cleaned under the bed and put the subwoofer instead of busted rear speakers, also leaded a BBQ for this weekends van show
