Speaking of 10.5 Outlaw cars, Tim Lynch sold his Mustang, from what I hear, his Corvette should be finished in December. Gonna be weird watching him in a GM.

Grandmabob, that EG in ur signature was my friend Lucas' old car. Nasty little ride.

Phil thomas just ran 4.70@164 with a Single 106mm on a 427 LSX in outlaw drag radial.  That was during some shakedown runs.  He will be back for next season and they are hoping for 4.60@170.  They are pushing the LSX platform to the max.  He will definitely be the first person the put an LSX powered car in the 6's on drag radials.  It's pretty ridiculous.  He is putting down competitive numbers against the 99 thousand cars in outlaw radial that are running a 5XX or 6XXci BB and twins.  They are doing more with less for sure.

:hail: Hey speaking of doing more with less have you seen the N/A Lsx combo proline has been runing?

Dont think he sold the mustang yet because he just ran it 5 days ago from what the most recent proline racing vid says but ya the Corvette should be done soon, its being built @ Skinny Kid race cars... the new proline motor is something like mid 700ci with like twin 100ish mm turbos  cant wait for more 1/4 mile wheelstands!!

Proline did the shortblock on that car and Vengeance racing did the top end/built the car. Vengeance started having proline build their shortblocks about a year ago. They build some sick cars together. Vengeance is one of the top LSX shops in the country. They are about an hour outside of Atlanta. They tuned my friend's 402 camaro last summer. Pretty cool guys.

How about 8.50's in a N/A LSX camaro with a liberty 5 speed?

That is Judson Massingil. He is the head instructor/runs SAM racing in Houston. Its a high performance engine building school. My plan is to go there sometime in the next year and a half and go work for an LS shop building engines.

Here is their old 427ci C5R block solid roller N/A motor. The students build all these engines and do the porting and stuff themselves as a class project.

The car had a Jericho 4 speed in it then so he is running 8.70s' rowing the gears himself

Here is the dyno video of the 433lsx that is in the car now (the first video I posted running 8.50's). Can you say 1000bhp N/A solid roller@9300RPM!?

That shit is ridiculous.

I know plenty of people that did the exact same thing. UTI, Wyotech, etc... Those schools are jokes if you want to do something besides change oil at a dealership. If you look at some of the other youtube videos from samracingtv you will see what they do. They offer 3 classes. You take the bottom end building class, then the top end class(hand porting heads, etc), and then there is an optional class to learn how to operate a 3 axis CNC machine. They don't just teach you how to slap an engine together. You learn all the complex theories behind everything. It is in the top 2 engine building schools in the world and is #1 if you are into late model EFI stuff (specifically LSX). Students get to work on their own cars after class is over utilizing all their tools and equipment. If you want to they will use your car in the lab for student projects. It's pretty sick.
