base price for this comes with the v6 not this v8 which ironically is a lot less hp than you stated

Corvette C6

Base Price : 48,930
BHP : 430
TQ : 424
Curb Weight : 3,208

geez thats funny the Corvette is cheaper, faster, lighter, and has a more powerful engine

To me someone almost going 3's in the 1/8 @ 200mph on an 11in wide tire is pretty badass... these guys are constantly breaking records because years back technology wasnt their for these cars to run any faster... back in 2005 10.5 outlaw was like mostly a 7 & 8 sec class... with technology we are able to get 3,500hp to hook now by rolling on the power so its just getting faster and faster. That is cool to me... Also this is why i like turbos... as you can tell there arent many blower guys running this class.

Anyone can throw more boost & more fuel & more boost & more fuel into a engine in a light car topped off with nitrous on a huge slick and run fast.

Phil thomas just ran 4.70@164 with a Single 106mm on a 427 LSX in outlaw drag radial. That was during some shakedown runs. He will be back for next season and they are hoping for 4.60@170. They are pushing the LSX platform to the max. He will definitely be the first person the put an LSX powered car in the 6's on drag radials. It's pretty ridiculous. He is putting down competitive numbers against the 99 thousand cars in outlaw radial that are running a 5XX or 6XXci BB and twins. They are doing more with less for sure.
