are those seats purple?

They look it don't they?

Haha, nope. They ARE black...The stupid LED/ compact fluorescence lighting coupled with the resolution of my phone's camera makes them look eggplant in color. Only in certain pictures though. Weird.

Some, moderately, better pictures.

Sorry for the lack of updates. I've been very busy these last couple weeks.

Here's what I've been up to....

Spent two weeks in New Orleans for a sailing symposium.... Just got back last Friday. What a cool city!

Then, almost immediately, I did a rescue flight for Pilots and Paws taking a Golden Retriever on the first of 6 flights taking the dog from Canada to Florida. (the dog was abused, and can no longer tolerate cold weather due to frostbite)

I was Co Pilot/dog control/Grizzly Adams. I'll definitely do it again. Was a very rewarding experience. Have a wonderful life in Florida, Sasha!

And ugh........Snow.......Lots of snow... Pictures do it zero justice, but I snapped this random shot today while shoveling my way out this morning.

The fence in the following picture is 6 feet tall. And the bar/tubing that is exposed, that's actually the top brace to a 4' high quarter pipe, for skateboarding.

On average we have around 3 feet everywhere. Drifts though....could triple that height. My driveway is now two feet higher than it was at the beginning of the season. Throws the perspective off in that picture a little bit.

Just assume it's an 8' tall person taking the picture.

When driving to the store it almost feels like you're in a tunnel, because the banks on the side of the road easily clear the roof of the vehicle.

I'm very tired of shoveling..And don't get me started on the cold. We keep getting blasted with lake effect, because the temperature differential, as of late, has been so great.

Snowing and 5 degrees....has suddenly lost its charm.

End Tangent.

Oh yeah....the car!

The newly modified EFI wiring harness is completed..... and it's freakin' beautiful. More on that soon.

I've ordered, and am receiving tomorrow, Eastwood's fancy dancy tubing flaring tool. So that will FINALLY allow me to remedy the leaking prop valve fitting......Then the engine goes back in the car. Yes!!!

I'm hoping to be at least prepped for, if not in the process of, reinstalling the engine by the weekend.

It's been WAY too long.....I'm dying to work on the car(s) again.....

Soon....soon..

Another reason for the lack of updates is that I feel many people would get tired of my repetitive composites development updates. Preparing for a production run has been very time consuming, and is essentially all that I have been doing since the last update, aside from the things I listed above.

But, for those that care, here are more pictures of the newly finalized production prototype center console.

Two piece construction. Much simpler to make....But still extremely labor intensive.

First gen (foreground) vs. second gen. Quality control is certainly improving, and is expected to continue as we make more.

That's what I've been up to. So yeah..:)

Thanks guys!

And it's good to see you Tankie, it's been a while. Thanks for taking the time to read my silly progress (or lack thereof) thread.

I love winter, don't get me wrong, but this shit has got to stop...
