No 2.2 Ecotec is hitting 12's unless youve POURED money into it.

Maybe if you had the SC/SS in that year and still need heavy mods you'd hit 12's

But it was a twin to the Ion R/L except it weighed a bit more, and it takes easily 3-7k to push a R/L into the 12's unless you gut the interior and make it not road legal

i have a 99 Eclipse GSX with a 6 bolt engine with minor mods ( FMIC 16g turbo intake n etc)

its my DD ... dad passed the car onto me when i turned 18 years old

hrmm so with just enough mods, it basically has about 350 fwhp/fwtq? please tell me what mods you have to run flat 12s. Because a stock sti can't even do that. So I don't know why you would waste.... lets say 10 grand on a fail cobalt to run 12s.

It would be more than 10k, the internals on the 2.2L are absolute shit, the 2.0 are great, stock block can push out like 1100 hp, and pistons/ etc dont need to go until 600.

But the 2.2L cant go past 200-250 without needing part swaps, major
