My point is heavier things dont move as fast

hes point being the ls1 isnt heavy at all.

so recently my 99 civic has been kinda "sputtering" if you know what i mean. Its just kinda shaky when idle or accelarting i guess, and the engine check light is flashing.

any ideas for quick fix before i bring it in?

clean your throttle body?

clean the iacv as well.

I dont give a flying toss about the LS1, my point is heavier things arent as quick as something thats lighter, period.

If the engine light is flashing pretty quick it usually means a misfire... sounds like its time for a tune up.

So put the LS1 in a lighter car? You can pick the bare block up and carry it around like it's nothing. It's like 91lbs.
