Hey guys, I own a 2006 NHBP base auto RSX with 75,xxx miles. I'm thinking of possibly swapping my auto tranny with an ep3 tranny. One shop gave me a quote of 2500 for parts and labor. Most people have told me to just trade my car in for a manual but my car isn't in the greatest condition. The car has been in 2 accidents.
-Rear carpet is fucked because my mom spilled bleach (I'm getting it replaced with non-oem black carpet for the rear only).
-The bumper, driver side headlight, fender and fenderliner are damaged but I'm getting it fixed soon. Also took off my front splash guard.
-My car rides like shit because I made a ricer mistake of putting lowering springs on stock struts.
-The driver side window will sometimes get stuck when i try to roll it down. The passenger side window only goes down when I use the passenger side control. It goes up with the driver side control though, wtf is up with that lol?
-Tail lights are fish bowling (water inside).
-paint is starting to chip on door frame
In other words, is it worth spending money to fix all these minor issues + going back to stock and trading it in at a dealership or should i just do the swap?
If I trade in my car, I want to get an ap2 s2000 but I'm not sure if that's possible with only 3 G's.
