w/e man

enjoy bleeding out money on a truck anyone could pick up for half what you paid

What are you even talking about? What do you think these things cost now? Did you not see where I only paid a few k more than a 2 year old truck? If no one bought new there wouldn't be any used ones to buy either...I'm not even close to being upside down on this thing and when it's paid for it will still be worth mid 20's. You can buy it from me then after I've put 100k hard miles on it lol.

My 07' Charger had a 5.7l/v8 Hemi and I got about 16-18 MPG. I guess I assumed to get at least 18 with a newer RAM.

Gas mileage is a concern as it'll be my everyday vehicle. I want to at least get 18 MPG.

Ignore the current average as I just towed a car. That 25 mpg 50 mile average was 55 mph back roads. The 400 mile average was Jacksonville FL and back. I get 18-19mpg going back and forth to work 35mi each way with mainly 2 lane roads and 10 miles of 4 lane. I don't drive for mileage either, I just drive. City mileage is 16-17.

I still don't get the attitude. You are mad at me because I spent my money on a new truck with a warranty? This makes no sense. If I actually paid sticker price sure, call me a dumbass. I didn't though.

What I expected and good to hear. I drive almost the same distance to work myself, but the 2 lane roads the whole way because I prefer the back way.

and youre not in a gasser

This my 6.0 gasser 3/4 ton gets about 12 mpg unless I'm using 4wd then it gets about 8-9 mpg. If you get a pussy truck it might get 17-18 mpg, but then why buy a truck if its a glorified car? a 2wd 1500 or f150 truck is fucking worthless to do anything with other than commute. I actually bought a 5.0 mustang to drive daily because it gets that much better gas mileage..I bring my equipment trailer to my jobsite and drop it first day and then drive the stang or ride my motorcycle in the summer months. In the winter I just pay out the ass for gas, but I make a ton back pulling shit cars and little trucks out of the ditch.

6.0's have never been friendly on gas.

FMX - How to the new 6.2Ls (or whatever they are) do in the half tons?

I do love the power it has for a gas motor. I have never liked diesel trucks, Hate the noise and the smell of them. They are better now days than a gasser, but I'll be gas all my life. I bought an old motor home just because it has a 454 in it. If this 6.0 ever dies again its going old school.

Big block with camper carbs. Those were the days.
