If I were to place my money on it, I'd say you're not a guy who cares about handling and performance etc... You're just a guy who has has been driving a conservative car for a while and now you want to upgrade. I think your priorities are a "nice looking" car with luxury features. Based on that I will say your best bet is one of the "Big 3" German entry level luxury sedans: BMW/Benz/Audi.
My suggestion is to stop by your local dealerships; see which one you like best and go with that:
Audi: A5/A4
Mercedes: CLA250/C300
BMW: 328i/428i
Genesis/Lexus/Infiniti are a lower tier than the ones mentioned above and not my cup of tea looks wise. However, if you're into JDM, Lexus does have a reputation to be more reliable than German cars in the long run and prob the best of the 3.
