Fuel bill per month is about 20x more than your electricity bill would be.

Too bad the Tesla's reliability is nowhere close to its performance.

Honestly, for $70k-$85k range, I think that it is smarter to buy a fully loaded Z51 because unless you plan to track very often, a fully loaded 3LT Z51 will get you way more "bang for the buck" than a 1LZ Z06. First of all, there are too many overheating issues with the Z. I'd prefer a car that can run the track, abet not as fast, multiple times, than a car that can do it really really fast, but only 2-3x. Secondly, for someone like me who will use the car as a daily driver, I want something with the luxury features of a German automobile in addition to the raw power that is American muscle.

For looks, everything that I could want from the c7 z06, can be modded on my stingray. For power? Well, I will never use the z06 to its full potential, heck, I'll probably never even use the z51 to its full potential given that the streets here have a 45mph limit and highways at 65mph. Getting a z06 for me would just be for bragging rights and that benefit alone is simply not something I can afford to drop 100k on let alone the maintenance for wear and tear.

Actual Cost to Own
