my fuel system is up to the task. i got the mopar performance +40% injectors, walbro 255, and an accufab adjustable fuel pressure regulator.I can get more then enough fuel into the motor if needed but why when i have meth available?. Yes when you inject methanol it decreases iat's (which is why my entire intake manifold turns to frost after a wot run) but the atomized methanol, like gasoline, when in contact with the cylinder walls, has a significant cooling effect. and with running as much as i do, and it being as such, burns "cold".
The nifty thing about methanol is that is will almost never missfire or foul even with a very rich mixture hence why if you dump a lot in, or run purely on methanol, you can run it rich for maximum cooling when the boost or compression is extremely high. That and methanol burn rate is much faster then that of gasoline, and that helps significantly at higher rpms/wot when there is less time for combustion..which, is why when i get up to 30+ psi of boost, im running 6k+ rpms so a cooler, faster burn is needed for stability and reliability..
Hence why i have a progressive methanol injection setup, so as the boost increases, and in turn more rpm, i got to pump in more meth to keep everything balanced.. Pure methanol injection is a godsend when you beat the piss out of a vehicle as much as i do and run the ridiculously high boost levels that i do.
Id never build another forced induction setup without progressive meth injection in it.. Ive put 5k miles of severe beating on this build and it just keeps going. Water and oil temp rarely get halfway to normal operating range, it just runs cold in general. Running the setup i do have never given me as much peace of mind as any other setup ive done on the car. I can beat the shit out of that car all day and never once have to worry about engine failure. The internals are overbuilt for what i put it through and it runs flawlessly in general.
I already touched on that. You are praising meth injection high and low for providing a safety net for your engine. By running like you have it set up you are negating the safety net and using it as a band aid. Since it is tuned FOR the meth, if the meth doesn't spray you are fucked. It's going to run so lean so quick it will pop/melt something before you even realize it. Meth injection is an additive. You should not be spraying so much that you are relying on it. Unless you have a direct port injection setup you have no way of knowing how it is getting distributed in the engine. OEM intake manifolds always favor certain cylinders. The ideal amount of meth is just enough to keep it from detonating if you get a bad tank of gas. I don't need an intro to the chemical properties of methanol. I'm the one spending time at the race track.
You could switch to E-85. You live in the area of the country that makes the shit. It has nearly the octane rating of pure methanol and you won't have to worry about the pump not coming on, refilling the tank, etc. It's the best of both worlds.
