That's fine. The automatic in both models you are looking at is the 4l60e. It needs to be built to hold more than 400ish hp reliably. In the vettes it was only offered in the coupe. The fixed roof coupe and Z06 are manual only.

Ya, not the strongest transmission, I think that is actually in my 97 v6 Camaro as well haha, i might be wrong though...
But as I said before only mods Id wanna do is intake and headers back, and possibly a mild cam, so whatever id need for that.
That transmission could handle that right?

It is in your camaro too. It will last even with a small cam if you don't beat on it all the time. Sticky tires and running it hard from low speed will kill it. A $2000 build with a a new torque converter would hold that kind of power forever.
