Not entirely true, you are able to do plenty of modifications without voiding the warranty--it all depends on the manufacturer. Other than cosmetic stuff, I only plan on changing the exhaust on my M3 and I won't have any issues with it voiding my car's warranty (other than issues that are a direct cause of the modification). Other than that, this car doesn't need a lot else. I just miss the amazing E63 exhaust note and want something similar on this car :D.

Yes I assume you could get away with putting a muffler on it but any real mod will void the warranty.

this would just be easier if he actually gave a crap about what he bought...like if i bought it and took the time to make a thread i'd probably care enough to post what packages/options i got on it.

depends on the region.
starting price here is already 68k € / 88k $.
i would pay 88k € which is almost 115k $ in germany with full options.

the hell, why is it so "cheap" in the usa.

not true. mods can only void the warranty if they can be proven to have caused the issue in question.

thats funny. i mean. no one has ever taken out a long from the bank, and then financed the car and used the loan as the downpayment. or financed/leased a car without factoring in how much per month the insurance and gas would cost. simply because they thought they could afford the $600/mnth just to own it.

yeah, thats never happened before with a BMW.... not ever.......

A) thats a horrible analogy considering I am saying they require proof. You get arrested if there is proof you are guilty.
B) there are laws protecting warranties against things like this, look it up. You cant void someones warranty on one thing because they added another thing unless X affects Y

In a perfect world you wouldn't be held liable but in this world shit happens. I'm not saying for example if you put a CAI on your M3 and the motor blows you are screwed but you have to be careful none the less. Company's are out to make $$$ bottom line.
