nothing about a Lotus is beastly Lotus is the exact opposite of beastly they are tiny cars with tiny engines

yes I'm drunk and hating for no reason but people that throw around random adjectives to try and sound cool annoy me

Ugh. Be nice.

I agree that "beastly" might not be the term to use, but the Lotus is no slouch despite being a "tiny car with a tiny engine". I've ridden/driven my fair share of cars in my time (modded LSX vehicles, modded Mustangs, Vipers, Porsches, Diablo, modded STIs/EVOs, modded S2ks, M3s, etc, etc) and this car pulls as hard, if not harder, than any one of those cars up to 100 or so. I'm not saying it is the fastest thing on the road, but 330 hp in a 2000 lb car is a pretty sick power/weight ratio. In addition, with traction control on, the tires stick very well so I am getting just about all of the power out without worrying about a lot of tire burning.

oh cmon...you know you feel like hot shit driving that

cheap supercar

but very nice :)grats.

Meh, it really doesn't even cross my mind. Yeah, I think it looks cool and stuff, but I just love how connected the car is with the road...it's something that no other car I've ever been in can deliver as well as the Lotus. Even if it wasn't as aggressive of styling, I would still have gotten a Lotus just because of the smile it puts on my face every time I drive it.

Yeah, who cares if you fuck someone over as long as it doesn't affect you, right?

I hate people. Ugh.

Depends on what your idea of "nice" is haha. For most people, it would be the most uncomfortable thing they've ever ridden in.

I don't know if you're ever rode in a Lotus but you feel EVERY single bump on the road. It is loud and you hear every component of the engine working because it is 6 inches behind your head. The A/C sucks. The radio? HA! What radio? Not that you could even hear it over the engine...oh yeah, and forget about making a phone call. Power steering? Forget it. The doors squeek. Random things will fall off the interior when hitting a corner hard. The clutch is liking shifting a tractor. An incline greater than about 10 degrees is going to involve taking it at an angle or finding a different route. Oh yeah, and people look at you like you are an absolute moron when you park it in a public place and try crawling in and out of it.

...but I absolutely love it. :)

sounds like i need one :) alot of those things explain my 91 integra that is half falling apart and lowered too far haha. not on the same level of course but shit randomly falls off, its loud, can't pull into steep driveways etc. I've always liked the Exige just not very practical where i live alot of back roads and not very good for low cars.

he said it was just a few scratches.. not sure how that ruins the title but most brand new cars at dealerships get scratches repaired once they get delivered to the dealership. Buddy of mine used to do scratch and bumper repair at 3 big dealerships made about $80k a year between the three of them. Bet those scratches never got put on the carfax lol.

the car has been in an accident. that goes on the vehicles history record. it was an expensive car. the title is not longer perfect, thus it is ruined.

GTFO.

Honestly those type of cars are the ones that you end up being a lot more "connected" to. The Lotus is something that you really have to learn to be hands-on with or else you are going to drive yourself crazy and/or spend a small fortune trying to fix it. I was fortunate enough to find one where the previous owner had taken care of most of the common problems of this vehicles (toe link braces breaking, fuel lines disconnecting, random electrical problems, oil starvation issues, etc.), but even after all that it still hands you surprises. Also, doing general maintenance like oil changes/tranny fluid changes/etc is required unless you want to spend a shit ton of money paying the dealership to do it for you. For instance, I was quoted at about 200 bucks to change the oil in this car from the Lotus shop, which is pretty crazy when you think that this is basically a Celica GTS engine.
