I didnt do the measuring, the guy that was helping me did. And I think he used the plastiguage.

Plastigauge requires the person using it to have a good understanding of it. You can't take the plastigauge measured tolerances for what they are.

i'd rather take it to a shop and do the minor work to myself that way i don't spend too much on it.
At least that's what i would do.

Short block assembly is one of those areas that requires a trained professional. There is no other way about it.

This was all extra materials except some pistons and some gaskets. It was just a fun project for me. I can easily put the other engine back it and drive it to work, but I'd rather keep going at it as long as I dont spend too much on it.

Plus I have the Jeep to drive in the meantime.
