aww man..... one of my local racing heros from when i was a kid died :'( Larry Damitz aka "The Sun Drop Kid" he was 87 and still racing and getting it done.

I just saw him a few weeks ago, looked the same as he had since i could remember


this was his ride 2 seasons ago? he ran the same car and skeem last year and won the limited late model championship at antioch



and this is from 1968 when he raced hardtops, i dont remember when he started racing, but its been over 60 years.....

wow racing at 87 and winning a championship over 80 to. thats some legendary stuff right there.

wish i had something i loved enough to keep me going that hard into my 80s lols

im not sure if he was 86 or 87 but he won the limited late models championship last year at a local track
