Trying to find a used set to not break the bank lol. Especially with how bad the exchange rate is for us right now buying a set new would cost way too much.

There was some down time with the C6 that prevented me from selling the C5 until too late into the season so I cant sell it until spring. Having both cars is definitely more of a payment than Id like lol.

Broke 3 valve springs, killed a lifter and took out one of the lobes on the cam. The motor needed to be cleaned out from the metal shavings. I brought it into the shop that tuned the c5 because I didnt have time to rip it apart with my job now and it was gone a month. The clutch master cylinder went on the drive home from the shop, i just took it back and let them deal with it too I didnt want too even look at it. Its been fun.

LS7 lifters?


I hope you replaced with morel or johnson. I hope the bearings didn't get hurt. Sorry for your loss. I know that was a big bill.

Yeah, I wasnt even thinking about it at the time. The bottom end seems to be fine, ive put over 1000 miles on it since its been out with no issues. Definitely a big hit lol, Im almost thinking I should have just gone ZR1

Nah Im still not that deep. The car was a really good deal, with all the work Im still only alittle over $40k US

I want a set of hres lol

I hear you. HRE makes some nice wheels, but you are getting into bro-dozer wheel money for those :rofl:

I looked at getting some HRE's when my challenger was a street car and IIRC it was almost $700/wheel? Could be wrong, that's been a while ago now.
