I have 50% on my windshields but all of my cars have HIDs.

lol I'm not a fan of all black either. The tinted tailights are going to go and I should have a new rim/tire combo come spring. The tinted markers are fine though.

How does 50% on the windshield look?

I'm doing 5% all around as usual but on the windshield I'm debating what I want done. He will do anything 30 or higher on the windshield but I think the lowest I'd do would be 50.
Is it too dsrk? Or just right?

black dude i know has completely made his car undriveable at night because he tinted the front window so heavily.

50% is perfect. People don't notice it when riding in it unless I tell them. I have 5% on the sides and back. I wouldn't do 5% on the sides with 50% on the windshield unless you have good headlights. My tint guy recommends 12% if you do 50% on the windshield.

E: this is on my corvette and my truck. My crown vic has no tint as I don't want to be profiled and the headlights suck.

a couple guys i know with pavement princesses did double lair of 5% on their windshields i cant even see out of that shit during the day i dont know how they drive them at night.

Fuck that... I had 50% and 5% on sides / back and I couldn't see jack shit at night...

Went to 25% sides and kept the 50% on front and that seems to work okay for night time.

Saves my ass when I jump into the black leather seats in Texas during the summer too.

i didnt mind 5% on the sides so much but my back window was only like 25 or 30 maybe but i had nothing on the windshield i gota be able to see at night lol

Anything lighter than 50% isn't even noticeable on the windshield.




My rollbar takes half of the field of view away in the rear view. I roll my windows down and use the side mirrors unless I'm on familiar ground. I have LED reverse lights that are as bright as the sun. Helps out big time. My 5th gen with factory tint was harder to back up than the corvette. My truck has a camera but I can see out the back glass quite well if needed.
