My corvette needs the exhaust and coil packs installed before I can start it up. We leave for Wannagofast tomorrow at lunch. I'll be breaking in the new twin disc clutch and fresh engine on the 4 hour drive there. I'm going to switch it up and take back roads to get some stop and go on the clutch. I think it's been 4 and a half weeks since the timing chain broke. It's pretty freaking incredible that I pulled the whole thing apart, had the machine work done, and put it back together in that time frame.

After a trip like that and a few easy passes you'll be alright.

We used to hook 3500+ ftlbs on a clutch right out of the box on a much worse scenario than you'll be doing.

Running this one hard out of the box won't damage it but it will make it chatter for a few thousand miles when it shouldn't chatter at all after 500 miles. I talked to Monster about it and they said a 200 mile trip through small towns and back roads would be plenty. I want my $1400 clutch to drive like intended lol.

I understand. Our clutches got MAYBE 10 miles on them before being replaced so I never worried too much about chatter lol.

I was more referring to it slipping on you. The first couple good pulls the tend to slip a little but after that you are golden unless you don't have enough clutch for the power.

So the weld on my rim broke and killed another tire. Rocked BMW rims to get it to the garage at my dad's place
