My local hero Steven Jackson just went 3.901@195 in the 1/8th mile during the 2nd round of qualifying in Radial vs the World at SGMP's Lights Out 7. And he pedaled it. Fuck my life. Shadow is a back half fox body grudge car with a giant screw blower powered alcohol funny car engine, no wheelie bars, and a 10.5" slick. It has 3.80x in it imo. 3 years ago no one would have thought that was remotely possible. He went 4.19@186 in his famous drag radial car Killin'Time last year which is the all time drag radial record too.


He's also one of the greatest shit talkers on earth having come up in our grudge racing scene. If you've never seen any of his videos they are hilarious.

I just had the opportunity to go behind the scenes at the Atlanta Supercross race and meet Ricky Carmichael, Ken Roczen, Jake Weimer, and Carey Hart. We took pictures, walked through their race rig, and ate lunch. Pretty damn cool... Roczen is my favorite current rider and Carmichael is my all time favorite. Having someone inside the industry pays off again.

thats awesome. a few years back i got to meet a whole bunch of nascar truck series guys and that was pretty cool.
