Lovin' it!

This project reminds me of the Widebody Charger that NRE is building. (quality wise)

Thanks guys, I appreciate the feedback! This is super fun.

More progress!

EDIS stuff arrived.

Here are the parts.

36-1 trigger wheel and its mount with the magnetic sensor (and subsequent mount).

Chrysler coil pack - plus mount and EDIS 6 module

I'll most likely mount it here...Especially since it too came with a mount

And I have, at least for the moment, decided against camber plates in the rear, for a couple different reasons.

1.) I am going to daily drive this car, as well as track it - If I were to cut open the rear strut towers it exposes the inside of the car to the elements. I'm going to drive this car in the rain..a lot. Because rain is run, I don't want wet carpet all the time.
2.) Camber plates have little to no insulation/vibration dampening, so there is a good chance for road noise, and droning in the cockpit
3.) I feel confident that I aligned the front camber plates correctly (90 degrees from the centerline of the car) I'm slightly nervous that aligning the rear will prove to be more difficult. However that reason is a small influence.

So I modified the stock isolator/insulators for the rear and bolted those on instead. It was very simple.

The stock isolators have a "D" shaped opening that must be drilled out to accept the Koni strut.

Installed my bump stops (totally forgot those in the front. Oops)

I also got a new toy for the 280. Updates on that later.

I'm going to grab my engine hoist tonight, and potentially drain some fluids in preparation of taking the engine out once again.

As always...I am excited.

would you be able to use say a 6mil plastic or something to cover any openings on rear camber plates? with some caulk. ghetto yes, and maybe not even viewable since you mention the carpet.

The way the camber plates are just designed, you can see there will always be openings wherever there is slotted adjustment for both the strut itself, and the camber adjustment bolts. I could possibly cover the remaining openings, as you had mentioned, but that would only solve one of the issues I had with the idea of the rear plates. I don't anticipate running much camber in the rear, for one, and the combination of both the vibration and the difficulty, they don't seem like a justifiable modification right now. I can always go with them later, but I could never go back...That's my logic. Also, for anyone who hasn't done camber plates themselves.....Dem shits is hard. Haha

Also, another perk, is I wouldn't have to make my own strut tower bar now as well, I can utilize aftermarket (YES!) bars for a fraction of the cost (time).

I'm loving it.

I've adopted the feeling of no longer caring when the car is ready. I'm just attacking one challenge at a time, and giving everything the forethought it deserves. The car has given me a lot. I should only return the favor.
