Your one of those SRAD guys aren't you.  I wouldn't ride a 96-99 750 as far as I could throw it.  If you think that bike which dynos ~105-110rwhp stock is going to take on a new 1000 which is making 160+rwhp you are out of your mind.

lose weight

The 96-99 750's had a dry weight of 393lbs.

An 06 GSXR 1000 has a dry weight of 358lbs.

Aluminum/magnesium/titanium. They started using a lot more of them. Trust me on this one for once. This is what I did for a living for 5 years.

I started working at my local motorcycle dealership at 15. You know, the legal age to work in the US? I worked in the assembly department assembling new bikes. I then moved to the service department. I was full time during the summer working 55 hours a week and part time the rest of the year which was 25 hours a week. I was full time for almost 2 years. I don't see why you think I'm lying. I quit because I was tired of the bullshit after 5 years. I've been self employed for almost a year now. How do you think I afford the stuff I have? Work.

I've lived basically on my own since I was 15 supporting myself and graduating high school. Remember the joke you made about my mom and I said I haven't talked to her since I moved out 5 years ago? Jesus man, let it go already.

vaguely..

since were getting this personal my mom left when i was 12 and she keeps showing up at my place randomnly without ANY notice and i've had to put a legal restriction on her psychotic ass...(you gotta pay $$ for peace of mind in this world)

and also...i'm the chud in a big constrction company around here...

i'm starting work next week on a brand new $$5,000,000 lake house here..

will be an all summer ordeal...

my dad has a big problem sticking his nose into my private business and he earned a fist to the face in his last escapade. so yeah, we don't get along.

i still live in the same house as him and i pay rent...

the only reason i stay here is because i have over 5 grand tied up in the garage...tools, spare parts, parts cars etc

sadly all the friends i grew up with are now seriously addicted to pot and cocaine and i find it hard to hang out with them...

4 of them got busted last week for cocaine possession and intent to sell...so i won't be seeing them for a while...like i care really i guess...

i was working in small shops for family friends during high school...i worked in the vinyard shop at a big winery for 18 months when i graduated high school. i was working 65 hours a week during Harvest there..

Boss Man kept making promises and a year later i took the hint that he didn't give a fuck and i realized i had no real future there...even though i was making 13 bucks an hour with time and a half...working on busted up vinyard tractors and the picker and other equipment quickly lost it's appeal...

what i WANT...is to design/engineer racing cars for a large and well known/respected manufacturer...i.e Audi...

but such a thing would require 5+ years of schooling and over 200k and 30 years of paying loans off....

so here i sit idle trying to make up my mind if i want to go back to school or not.

Do it. It will be worth it in the end. I'm in a similar situation. I am running 2 framing crews (about to lay 1 whole crew off b/c of the economy) and a landscaping business. I'm making good money but what I do is too dependent on the economy and the stress is killing me.

Back on topic: I went over 100mph on a scooter today. A Honda Silverwing 600. At this point it is basically an automatic motorcycle. Not a scooter.

Not trying to bust your chops but a 2008 would be a C6. C5's ran 97-2004.
