I don't care about engine masters. All kinds of configurations that won't live off the dyno have won over the years.

In an unlimited setting the coyote hasn't made more power or gone faster than the LS and it costs more to mod. There is a period at the end of that last sentence.

The Coyote hasn't gone faster or made more power than the LS?

Lemme get some of that fire you're smokin on guy.
I wanna be THAT high.

People who aren't stuck in the 90s do.

3 comments up, LS motor is garbage compared to the Yote if money is no problem.

If money is no problem you wouldn't even hesitate to look at a 5.0... Truth is, you wouldn't be looking at any factory blocks....

This is very true. But we're comparing LS to Yote with infinite money.
Not the best motor available.

At the end of the day, the Yote is just too new.

Give it 10 more years of development.
Hopefully then maybe Chevy will step up their game and go DOHC? Who knows.

Yeah, you would be looking at billet tall deck big blocks like everyone else.

Who has a coyote that has been faster than Keith berry's corvette? Show me a coyote that has made over 3000hp. I'll wait. Last I saw there was a coyote in the 2300hp range and their 1/8th mile record was mid 4's.

They stayed away from OHC for a variety of reasons. You sound like a typical import guy now. They tested a DOHC design in 90's that stemmed from the LT4. They picked the cam in block design for the ls1 for a laundry list of benefits. Is OHC the future? Sure. When they do that they'll do it better than ford too.

Have fun watching ZL1 and Z28 taillights from the seat in you GT350R lol. Those single cams just keep pulling away.

Are you talking about their pro mod? It's still slower than KB's door car was to the 1/8th lol. Their really fast cars are still running modulars, not coyotes.

W2W went 6.86@ 205 in August of 05 with a 352ci iron block LS in a door car. So, welcome to 10 years ago.

In a straight line, maybe lol
On any sort of course, an LS car would be a spec in the rearview.

They picked the single cam design to save money and because Chevyfags were familiar with it.

DOHC is more than the future. DOHC is NOW and Chevy is bottlenecking the entire industry.

You didn't see the ZL1 ring time did you you poor soul... the Z28 will be faster.

Smaller package size, lighter weight, less NVH, and better low rpm power were a few reasons cited as well as production cost. It's also why you see them swapped into so many fords.

How do you make a Chevy fast?

Replace everything but the motor with Ford.
