The highest trim Model S does 0-60 in sub three seconds and doesn't just drive well in straight lines. Even a Shelby isn't that fast and it definitely doesn't drive as well.

The Model S has top tier performance. It's the other issues that are the problem.

Because I trust some bought and paid opinions for awards in "initial and build quality". They can say what they want but the interiors are cheap and shitty in most every american build car... Hell most any new car for that matter because everything these days is built as disposable.

Those aren't awards I was referencing. There is a reason the Dodge truck was $15,000 cheaper than the other two until very recently. I had an 06 Ram 2500. While I loved the truck it did not compare to it's rivals. It was 2/3rd the price of the equivalent ford or dodge used.

I personally think the interior in my silverado is perfect. It's not a luxury car. I also wouldn't call a Denali, High Country, or King Ranch interior cheap. Of you are looking at the W/T version with vinyl interior then yeah...

almost all of my friends own chevys and they love them, idk where you seeing quality issues, but i just flat out dont see it.

the only thing ive personally seen that has consistently fallen apart was dodge interiors and ford e40d trans

and i would agree with fmx that the ford and chevy have been neck and neck with dodge behind, but more recently nipping at their heals

and at least in my own personal area/group/bubble what ever you want to call it, toyota/nissan all an afterthought

I didn't know the Ford/Chevy/Dodge hierarchy was still debated. It's been consistent since 1990.

At this day you can go buy a Ford, GM, or Dodge and the only thing that honestly makes any difference to the buyer is the way the truck looks.

All 3 are reliable, good for their intended use, and simply work for the price.

Never thought i'd see the day I say that but it's been the case for the last 3-4 years now.

Dodge has definitely made huge strides with the 2010+ trucks. I'm still waiting to see how they hold up long term before I declare them true equals. The used market still shows them trailing but the gap has closed considerably. I like the coil spring suspension. I feel it's long overdue.

You have no idea lol.

My closest comparison from leaf to coil was a '13 crew 3/4 ton on leafs and my '14 crew 1 ton SRW on coils. It's night and day. The new coil trucks ride like a half ton... The only thing I will complain about is when you get a good load on the rear axle they do bounce a little more than leafs did. Still with the 4/5 link they tow much better. Also, to clarify, by "good load" i'm referring to over what the truck is rated at.

I honestly used to have a piece of 2" steel that weighed ~800lbs that I would lay in the bottom of the bed on my old leaf spring trucks so they didn't ride so ugly when they were running empty.
